Why WVU Medicine: WVU Medicine Golisano Children's combines the resources and opportunities of a large academic medical center with the supportive, close-knit culture that makes training here so special. As the only freestanding children's hospital in West Virginia, it provides the opportunity to care for a diverse pediatric patient population while serving families from across the state and surrounding region. Throughout my training, I have been surrounded by supportive preceptors, mentors, and colleagues who are genuinely invested in both my personal and professional growth. The residency program's wide variety of pediatric experiences has allowed me to develop as a clinician while caring for patients across many specialties. The strong sense of community and resident-focused environment continue to make WVU Medicine feel like home. I am very excited to continue my training at WVU Medicine Golisano Children's this year!
