Pharmacists are required to obtain 3 hours of continuing education related to controlled substance and drug diversion as defined in WVHB 4037 beginning July 1, 2013. These 3 hours will be required each reporting period and will meet the controlled substance and drug diversion criteria established by the West Virginia legislature. These 3 hours can be attained in a live format, or an online format, but must meet the criteria established. Please check the Live CE Activities link or the Online Activities link under "WVU School of Pharmacy Continuing Education Activities" for available live and online activities.
Below is a list of approved WV Drug Diversion Trainings through WVU School of Pharmacy. If one attended any of these sessions a WV Board of Pharmacy Drug Diversion number is required for relicensure. This WV BoP Drug Diversion number is different from the ACPE Universal Activity Number associated with an activity. If you have misplaced the WV BoP Drug Diversion number for the program you attended, please contact the Office of Continuing Education at 304-293-5103 or Dr. Ginger Scott at 304-293-1553.
