Noah Ball, PharmD

PGY2 Internal Medicine

Hometown: Lancaster, Ohio

Pharmacy School: Duquesne University

Career Interests: Internal Medicine

Hobbies: I enjoy running, watching Pittsburgh sports (especially the Penguins), going to the movie theater, playing with my two cats, and playing disc golf. If you start a conversation with me about running shoes I won't stop talking.

Medication Use Evaluation:
Inpatient use of inhaled corticosteroids for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Residency Research Project:
Recurrence rates of Clostridioides difficile infection in treated and untreated patients producing indeterminate tests

Why WVU Medicine:
I completed my PGY1 year at WVU Medicine - WVU Hospitals and found that the preceptors and administrators struck the perfect balance of pushing me out of my comfort zone and caring for me as a person. This allowed me to grow more than I ever thought I would during this past year. I knew that by staying on for my PGY2 year, these preceptors would prepare me to be an excellent clinical pharmacist in my specialty. Also, the residents that continue to match with WVU create such a positive supportive environment, I couldn't imagine completing residency anywhere else.
