Programs
PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
PGY1 Residents at WVU Hospitals will be provided the opportunity to accelerate their growth beyond entry-level professional competence in patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services, and to further the development of leadership skills.
PGY1 Ambulatory Care Track
The PGY1 Ambulatory Care Track Residency Program is designed to expose pharmacists to ambulatory care practice while still cultivating a well rounded PGY1 pharmacy practice residency experience.
PGY1 Community-Based Residency
The Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program focused in Specialty Pharmacy at WVU Hospitals will build upon the Resident’s Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community‐based specialty pharmacist practitioners with diverse and complex patient care, leadership, and education skills.
PGY1 Pharmacy at WVU Medicine Children’s
PGY1 residency programs build upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined in the educational competency areas, goals, and objectives.
PGY1 / PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership with MHA
The PGY1 / PGY2 HSPAL Residency with MHA at WVU Hospitals will provide the resident with the skills to assume high-level leadership and managerial responsibilities.
PGY2 Ambulatory Care
The PGY2 Ambulatory Residency Program is designed to develop the specialized knowledge, competency and skill necessary to provide pharmacist care to patients in the ambulatory setting.
PGY2 Cardiology
The PGY2 Cardiology Residency Program is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities in cardiology care practice.
PGY2 Critical Care
The PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program is organized and designed to provide the postgraduate resident the opportunity for advanced training in the critical care arena.
PGY2 Infectious Diseases
The PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program is an organized, directed postgraduate training program that centers on developing the competencies necessary to provide pharmacist care to patients with infectious diseases.
PGY2 Internal Medicine
The PGY2 Internal Medicine Residency Program is designed to provide the opportunity for the resident to obtain advanced training in the area of internal medicine and its sub-specialties.
PGY2 Oncology
The PGY2 Oncology Residency Program is designed to develop the specialized knowledge, competency and skill necessary to provide pharmacist care to patients with cancer.
PGY2 Pediatrics
Individuals completing the Post-Graduate Year Two (PGY-2) Pediatrics Pharmacy Specialty Residency at WVU Hospitals shall be highly qualified independent providers of pharmacist care in the pediatric setting.
