Are you an undergraduate student interested in a career in a healthcare profession serving in a rural community? Thinking about medical or dental school? The WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health RUSH program is a great introduction to practicing in rural communities. The application is now open. All applications must be completed by September 30, 2019. A selection will be made by October 15, 2019.

- Shadow a rural practitioner for a total of 20 hours during specific dates agreed upon by the participating practitioner and the student
-Receive a participation award of $300 after shadow completion
-Work with the WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health and the WVU PreHealth Professional Development Office to identify other rural-related programs relevant to your chosen health profession discipline including research and service activities.
