Why WVU Medicine: I chose to complete my PGY2 Oncology residency at WVU Medicine because of its supportive culture, strong mentorship, and diverse learning opportunities across both adult and pediatric oncology. From the very beginning of the application process, it was clear that the preceptors genuinely care about the growth and success of their residents—not only professionally but personally as well. What stood out most to me was the program’s flexibility in tailoring learning experiences to each resident’s interests and goals. This approach will allow me to explore various areas within oncology and build a well-rounded foundation that aligns with my long-term career goals.
