Why WVU Medicine: I chose to pursue my HSPAL residency at WVU Medicine because of its supportive and welcoming culture, as well as the wide range of opportunities available throughout the enterprise. From my first interaction with the team at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting to the moment I matched, I felt genuinely valued and embraced. It was immediately clear that WVU Medicine cultivates an environment where residents are not only supported but also empowered to grow into confident, capable leaders. What truly set this program apart was the diversity of clinical experiences it offers. Whether my interests leaned toward pediatrics, oncology, or anything in between, WVU Medicine provided access to every specialty I hoped to explore. Having the opportunity to develop as a clinician before transitioning into administrative and leadership roles was a priority for me, and this program offered exactly that. The variety and depth of experiences available gave me confidence that I would emerge as a well-rounded and versatile practitioner. As I continue through residency, I am confident that WVU Medicine will provide the mentorship, resources, and experiences necessary to help me grow into the best pharmacy leader I can be.
