Why WVU Medicine:
There were 3 main factors that influenced my decision to pursue WVU Medicine. Firstly, I wanted a program with a strong leadership team in an expanding health system that embraces innovation and allowed residents to truly have an impact in improving practice and patient care. Additionally, I wanted dynamic, comprehensive rotations in both clinical and administrative areas that would shape me into a well-rounded leader. While WVU far exceeded my expectations in these areas, the biggest factor that drove me to WVU Medicine was the people I had the opportunity to interact with along the way. Although the interview process was virtual, the program's positive culture and stance on maintaining a high-level excellence in pharmacy practice was very evident. I can't see myself completing my residency training anywhere else.
