Why WVU Medicine: I chose WVU Medicine for my PGY1 residency in ambulatory care because of the exceptional learning opportunities and the supportive culture. WVU offers a wide variety of ambulatory care electives that I knew would provide me with comprehensive experiences to prepare for my future career. Although this is an ambulatory care-focused residency, the program offers the flexibility to complete multiple inpatient rotations, allowing me to explore different perspectives and tailor my training to my areas of interest. Beyond the clinical opportunities, the culture at WVU stood out to me. The staff are truly invested in your success. I knew they would not only challenge me to grow into the best version of myself but also become lifelong mentors and friends.
