Are you an undergraduate student interested in a healthcare profession serving in a rural community? Thinking about medical, dental or nursing school? The WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health Rural Undergraduate Shadowing in Healthcare Program (RUSH) is a great introduction to practicing in rural communities.
The online application opens Friday, Sept. 15, and must be completed by Sunday, Oct. 15. Selections will be made by Nov. 15.
Students in the program will shadow a rural practitioner for a total of 20 hours during specific dates agreed upon by the participating practitioner and the student. Students will receive a participation award of $300 after shadow completion.
