1. CARRS - The CARRS application for 2nd Year MEDICAL STUDENTS WITH ROTATIONS between July 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 is now OPEN. The application is also open for 4th year DENTAL STUDENTS WITH ROTATIONS during Spring semester 2020. Available projects are listed below by county. Applicants will have to choose one of the projects when submitting the CARRS application. Apply here

2. WVU Rural Health Day - Only 30 spots left! Application closes March 20, 2020! Are you an undergraduate health professions student with an interest in rural medicine? WVU Rural Health Day provides an opportunity to hear about and participate in activities that will enhance, impassion and provide support in the sometimes daunting path to applying to medical school. The 2020 WVU Rural Health Day application is now open! Apply now! 

3. Rural Health Interest Group Leadership Council Nominations - Ballot closes March 18, 2020! Health professions students at WVU HSC in Morgantown: Nominations for the next #RHIG leadership council are now open! Nominate yourself. Nominate your peers. This is a great opportunity to learn about the positive impacts of rural health on local communities and to sharpen your leadership skills. Make your nominations here.  

4. Rural Health Interest Group Meetings - The Rural Health Interest Group will be hosting the second meeting of the semester on March 24, 2020 from 12:00pm to 12:50pm in room 1909 HSC North. WV Project ECHO team, Jay Mason and Kayetlyn Edinger will be presenting everything you need to know about telehealth and it's importance in rural healthcare. On March 26, 2020 from 12:00pm to 12:50pm in room 1909 HSC North, Jay and Kaytelyn will be hosting a live telehealth demo. You may RSVP for one meeting or both. Please note that the demo on March 26, will be capped at 30 participants; the first 30 to RSVP. Lunch will be served both days. RSVP here

5. Rural Health Student Grant Intro Workshop - The WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health is hosting an intro workshop for any health professions student interested in learning the basics about grant writing. Grants Administrator, Jacquelynn Copenhaver will be leading the discussion. The workshop will be held on March 19, 2020 in room G119A HSC North from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Lunch will be served.
