The WVU Dependent Tuition Assistance program is now open for applications for the spring 2021 semester for those dependents who attend West Virginia University at the Morgantown, Beckley, or Keyser campuses, and WVU online.

The student application period is Oct. 15-27. You must complete the Life Event in UltiPro and provide documentation to support that your dependent meets the program requirements within the application period.

Please note: Employees are required to complete the Life Event applicable to the semester for which they are requesting tuition assistance.

Requirements: New program enrollees

  1. Complete spring 2021 WVU Tuition Assistance Life Event
  2. Provide proof of enrollment for WVU spring 2021 semester (showing full-time status/12+ credits)
  3. Freshmen must provide acceptance letter in lieu of enrollment and proof of GPA
  4. Financial Aid Summary from WVU STAR Account
  5. Spring 2020 final grades (for applications beginning with the Spring 2021 semester and going forward, the GPA requirement will be 2.5)
  6. Birth certificate or federal tax return to certify dependent(s)
  7. 2020-2021 Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) summary; visit http://www.fafsa.gov/ for more information

Program eligibility

Employees must have at least five years of service based upon their "Benefits Seniority Date" and no disciplinary process at a level 2 or above in the previous 12 months. Employee eligibility will be based on employment status and years of service as of Jan. 15, 2021.
