The Health Sciences Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council invites all faculty, residents/fellows and students who identify as a person of color or an underrepresented minority to join a virtual forum Monday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.

The forum — led by Dr. Kerri Woodberry, Division Chief of Plastic Surgery and Dr. Rosa Santos, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Laboratory Medicine — is designed to promote connectivity among the Health Sciences community across schools, departments, disciplines and career stages.

The first forum in the series, held in July, gave attendees an opportunity to meet one another. At the Nov. 23 forum, attendees will further discuss the direction of the group.

“We will particularly look at opportunities to mentor students from MASH (Multicultural Association of Students in Healthcare) and SNMA (Student National Medical Association), as well as residents,” said Dr. Woodberry. “We will also look for ways to support and mentor faculty and plan activities for the group, such as a welcoming reception for new residents and faculty each year.”

To attend, please RSVP. Zoom details will be provided in advance of the event to those who RSVP.
