West Virginia University’s Operation Blue Sky has two events scheduled in December for the Health Sciences community as the holidays and end of semester approach.
On Tuesday, Dec. 9 beginning at noon, faculty, staff and students are invited to take part in a holiday-themed celebration in the Pylons Lobby. Free hot cocoa and coffee will be available as musical groups from HSC and the College of Creative Arts and Media perform. From 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. a cookie decorating station will also be available.
For finals week, Operation Blue Sky is hosting three separate events as follows:
- Tuesday, Dec. 16, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – free snacks and drinks in the Pylons Lobby
- Wednesday, Dec. 17, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- free chair massages from BlissBlissBliss in the Pylons Lobby
- Thursday, Dec. 18, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. -- visit with miniature therapy horse in the Fukushima Lounge
Operation Blue Sky strives to create a community that feels safe, remains curious and knows how to have fun. Research shows that communities featuring these three pillars increase levels of innovation, develop stronger bonds, are not held back by fear, have a greater sense of purpose and increase productivity.
