The first year of coursework is completed through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in the Biomedical Sciences (IGPBMS), where students take core coursework in the biomedical sciences and complete three research rotations.
Following entry in the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences, students complete:
- specialized courses relevant to their areas of interest in consultation with their dissertation committee
- actively participate in a journal club related to their area of specialization: cancer cell biology, cardiovascular and respiratory science, drug discovery, nanoscience, pharmacology
- present their research each semester in the program’s seminar course
