West Virginia Colorectal Cancer Screening Summit

June 14, 2017 from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM

Colorectal Cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in West Virginia. Mountains of Hope (MOH), West Virginia’s statewide cancer coalition, invites you to join us as we welcome both local and national experts to discuss ways to increase CRC screening. Building upon the success of the 2015 WV Colorectal Cancer Summit, MOH is hosting two regional Colorectal Cancer Summits this year. The first Summit will be on June 14, 2017 in Fairmont, WV and the second will be held on August 30, 2017 in Beckley, WV.

The summit will give attendees the opportunity to network and collaborate with public, private, and volunteer organizations to promote CRC screening.

Attendees will learn more about:

  • CRC screening progress in reaching the national goal of 80% by 2018
  • CRC screening guidelines and new testing options
  • Lessons learned about CRC screening advocacy at the state level
  • Patient navigation for CRC screening
  • How the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) impacts CRC screening

Registration is free and open to anyone interested in CRC screening including advocates, health care providers, navigators, social workers, and organizations. To register please go to:
