W. Clarke Ridgway

BIOSKETCH

Born in Wheeling, WV, Mr. Ridgway received a B.S. in Pharmacy from West Virginia University in 1971. His practice experiences include retail, hospital, clinic and geriatric settings and his teaching experiences include history of pharmacy, geriatrics, OTC's and laboratory courses. He received the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy (AIHP) Teaching Improvement in 1985. Currently, Ridgway serves as Assistant Dean for Student Services at the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. Some of his service includes membership on the AIHP Teaching the History of Pharmacy and ad hoc Future of the History of Pharmacy committees, the Director's Advisory Panel, Council member, President-elect and current President. Research interests include the history of pharmacy practice and history of home remedies.
