The Office of Interprofessional Education (IPE) will be hosting an event focused on substance use disorder (SUD) and the associated stigma on Monday, March 23, 2020, as part of a year-long interprofessional education curriculum for students at the Health Sciences Center.

The session will be begin with a presentation highlighting one physician’s personal experience with substance use disorder from 4 to 5 p.m. in Okey Patteson Auditorium with overflow in Fukishima Auditorium. Faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend the session.

Students will then move to their break-out rooms for a patient care simulation activity focused on SUD from 5 to 6 p.m. 

This event is being funded through a grant from the West Virginia Bureau for Behavioral Health.
