MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Elizabeth Scharman, Pharm.D., professor in the WVU School of Pharmacy Department of Clinical Pharmacy-Charleston Division and director of the West Virginia Poison Center, has been appointed to the editorial board of Clinical Toxicology.
 
Clinical Toxicology is the official journal of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, the European Association of Poisons Centres and Clinical Toxicologists, and the American Association of Poison Control Centers.
 
The editorial board for Clinical Toxicology is responsible for reviewing manuscripts, soliciting new journal submissions, writing articles, attending editorial board meetings, and advocating for the journal.
 
Dr. Scharman is currently the deputy strategic national stockpile coordinator for West Virginia. She has held numerous positions on boards of national committees, including the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, the American Board of Applied Toxicology, and the American Association of Poison Control Centers.
 
She has been a professor at the WVU School of Pharmacy and director of the West Virginia Poison Center for 22 years.
