The Tunnel of Awareness is an interactive social justice experience that provides attendees the opportunity to gain greater insight into topics of diversity, inclusion, equity, oppression, bias and culture.

Campus and community members are invited to stop by the Mountainlair Ballrooms to view the different exhibits that have been created by faculty, staff and students on the following dates:

  • Monday (Feb. 19), from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Tuesday (Feb. 20), from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Wednesday (Feb.  21), from noon to 5 p.m.

Among other units, the Women's Resource Center has created the “Menstrual Equity for All” exhibit emphasizing how limited access to menstrual products and their monthly costs can lead to health and hygiene risks, financial burdens and isolation.

The display will not only shed light on period poverty, but also on how to support menstrual equity at WVU and in our community, and remind those who are currently experiencing these challenges they are not alone.

The Tunnel of Awareness aims to simultaneously create awareness and action within our own communities, country, and even the world.
